Jiu jitsu Tournament results

UPDATE!!!! I recently received news that Archie grappled against two opponents and did extremely well in his division. Way to go Archie and keep up the good work!!!

A big shout out to Archie, T.j and Vinnie who all competed and represented our studio’s Jiu jitsu program this past weekend. I am very proud of all of you guys and your work ethic is inspiring to us all. T.j took first in the Advanced Teenage Division and went on later and took first in the overall teenage division. Way to go!! Vinnie also took first place in his division, not bad considering he hasn’t been doing Jiu jitsu for too long. I was unfortunately unable to attend and coach these guys but a big shout out to them and there continuing success. I will update this post once i found out how Archie did, but knowing him i’m sure he did great. When you see these guys next week make sure you congratulate them. Everyone should try a tournament at least one time. You won’t regret it!

Gracie Jiu Jitsu

Hey everyone, this is Zach here posting on the blog for the first time. Just a couple of updates and reminders for you Gracie Jiu Jitsu students. There is a tournament on November 13th 2010, if anyone is interested in competing or going to watch the competition check out the website at http://www.utahchampion.com/.
Also, we are requiring students who come to the Gracie Jiu Jitsu classes to purchase a uniform. Wearing the uniform looks professional and its an excellent edition to our training. It will also help with problems such as matt burn, and ring worm from happening.  We will be having plain white uniforms available in the next couple of months at the studio. Or you can order the Gracie standard uniform on there website at http://store.gracieacademy.com/c-261-gis-patches.aspx .
Thank you for all of your hard training and continue support! Lets keep working hard and moving forward. See you all tonight in class!
